Odhiambo David is a pharmacist with a passion for and commitment to improving access to quality healthcare services for all and nurturing socially responsible generations through his vocation. He is the founder, Ryculture Health and Social Innovation, a forward-looking social enterprise that works with youth leaders and young healthcare professionals to address pressing global health challenges including youth mental health, sexual & reproductive health, and unemployment among young healthcare professionals. He is the curator, African Pharmaceutical Network, a Pan-African network that convenes pharmaceutical industry professionals, stakeholders and organizations for knowledge sharing, policy shaping and innovation nurturing partnerships to improve access to safe, effective, and quality health products in Africa. He previously worked with Novartis, Kenya Association of Pharmaceutical Industry (KAPI) and Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF). He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Oxford, Said Business School.
Through his work, David was awarded the Rising Star Award by the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS), International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Community Pharmacy Section 2021 Champion for Change and Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) Young Pharmacist of the Year 2021.
David serves in various community programmes and mental health initiatives i.e., Global Youth Council Board Member with cities-RISEand Youth for Mental Health (Y4MH) where he is a Board Member. He is also a member of the Youth Advisory Group at Being.
