In a recent Freethink article, we partnered with UNICEF Innovation and the UNICEF country office in Nigeria to spotlight how we can transform mental health care with “systems innovation” to improve young people’s mental wellbeing through collaboration and forward-thinking.
We share how the Being Initiative puts youth at the heart of systems innovation through our strategic approach and three key pillars: Learn, Invest and Mobilize.
During our first phase, we’ve supported locally-driven consultations with youth, policymakers, local organizations and mental health experts in priority countries. The goal? To determine what’s needed in each country and help build consensus around priorities for advocacy and funding.
By connecting people and creating networks, we want to transform mental health care and change the way society thinks about mental health, from prevention to promotion and everything in between.
