Nos Ecosystem Catalyst (EC) Grants help scale youth-led ideas, remove barriers to mental health prevention and promotion support, and test how youth-led innovation can work within and improve existing systems.

Ecosystem Building in Roumanie

Consulted stakeholders highlighted that Romania has adopted progressive mental health policies, aligning with the European Union’s comprehensive approach. However, there is need for clearer implementation guidelines, particularly for addressing bullying through evidence-based interventions. Strengthening stakeholder collaboration will be crucial.

The Ecosystem Catalyst Project

FUNDATIA INIM, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the socio-emotional development of young people and professionals in education and mental health. As a key coordinator in the national mental health strategy, it will leverage its network of over 200 public, private, and NGO stakeholders to create a national framework for bullying and cyberbullying prevention, empowering schools, educators, and communities to act effectively. Moreover, they seek to:

  • Establish evidence-based guidelines for bullying prevention services and practices that align with national and international regulations.
  • Develop a national database of stakeholders involved in bullying prevention.

By engaging established partners, coordinating efforts across sectors, and developing a stakeholder database, Fundatia Inim aims to foster commitment and create a robust mental health infrastructure that benefits Romania’s diverse population.
