However, stakeholder consultations highlighted gaps in current school health programs, which primarily focus on nutrition and lack structures to support mental health initiatives\u2014particularly those addressing bullying prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-ecosystem-catalyst-project\"><strong>The Ecosystem Catalyst Project<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Research and Grant Institute of Ghana (ReGIG) will leverage existing networks and infrastructure and collaborate with relevant partners, in particular the Mental Health Authority (MHA), Ghana Education Service (GES), Ministry of Education and Ghana Health Service, working together to improve coordination around the integration of mental health and wellbeing into Ghana\u2019s school health programs, building local demand for school-based mental health innovations with the potential to improve young people\u2019s mental wellbeing in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ReGIG seeks to achieve the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enhance the use of mental health information and innovation by promoting high-potential mental health innovations and mobilizing local demand.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop national school mental health guidelines that contribute to the improved mental health and wellbeing of students and teachers by mapping key stakeholders in the school ecosystem and establishing a National School Mental Health Coordination Team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote increased national funding and investment in the school mental health ecosystem by mapping available funding sources and through awareness and advocacy efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div id=\"ql-button-block_3d5fea1d3655fb5ba0a98d3eff6beeb6\" class=\"acf-block ql-button button-left\"><a class=\"ql-button-link\" href=\"https:\/\/regig.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Learn more about ReGIG&#8217;s work!<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":3,"template":"","innovation_country":[44],"innovation_project_type":[87],"driver":[],"thematic-area":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-2651","1":"innovation","2":"type-innovation","3":"status-publish","5":"innovation_country-ghana","6":"innovation_project_type-ecosystem-catalyst-grant","7":"entry"},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.1 (Yoast SEO v27.1.1) -
